Choices you make and quotes you type

The calculators run in your browser. The location, the home details and the quote you enter stay on your device. They are not sent to us and not stored.

Accounts and advertising

There are no accounts and no advertising.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and to see which pages and calculators are used. It receives the page address, the page you came from, your browser and device type, and an approximate location that Google derives from your IP address. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. When a calculator is used, it also receives the name of the calculator and the kind of choice that was changed (for example "home size"), never the choice itself and never a quote amount. Advertising features are off: advertising storage, ad personalisation and ad user data are always set to "denied".

• In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google Analytics loads only after you click "Accept" in the banner.
• Elsewhere it loads by default. You can turn it off at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.

When it runs, Google Analytics sets two first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID, which expire two years after your last visit. Declining removes them. Your choice is kept in your browser's local storage under icc-analytics, not on our server. To decide whether to ask first, the page reads your country from Cloudflare, which serves the site; it is not stored.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver pages and protect the site.
