What counts as a flooring, carpet or drywall job in this data
Counted:
- Wall-to-wall carpeting.
- Finished flooring such as hardwood, tile, marble or vinyl.
- Paneling and drywall put onto walls.
- Ceiling tiles hung from or fixed to the ceiling.
Not counted:
- Refinishing hardwood floors.
- Cleaning existing floors.
- Routine minor work such as painting or decorating.
Survey category: "Installed carpeting, flooring, paneling, ceiling tiles or drywall". Costs the Census Bureau filled in (18% of the professional jobs) are left out.
