What counts as a bathroom remodel in this data
Counted:
- Work on an existing bathroom that is not routine maintenance and changes the room substantially.
Not counted:
- Decorating, such as new wall treatments or furnishings.
- Adding a bathroom or converting other space into one (a separate job in the survey).
- Routine minor work such as painting.
Survey category: "Remodeled bathroom". Costs the Census Bureau filled in (18% of the professional jobs) are left out.
